Svebor Secak, the principal dancer of the Croatian National Theatre and an internationally acclaimed artist founded Ballet troupe Croatia in 1994. It is a professional touring company featuring principals and soloists of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, Croatia and other ballet artists.On its repertoire the troupe has smaller classical ballets, contemporary and national titles. The troupe has had numerous tours and has given many visiting performances all throughout Croatia and other countries:
Millennium Dome (2000), Royal Opera House Covent Garden (2001 & 2002), Sadler´s Wells (2005 & 2007), EXPO 2005 Aichi, Japan, Kingdom of Jordan (2002), Republic of South Africa (2003 & 2004), Tunisia (2007), Egypt (2008).
The troupe has on its repertoire the following programmes: Graduation Ball (J. Strauss Jr.), Giselle II act (A. Adam), Mixed ballet programmes (contemporary triple bills, Peer Gynt Suite, famous Pas de Deuxs), The Gingerbread Heart (K. Baranovic), The Merry Widow (F. Lehar), Hamlet (P.I. Tchaikovsky), Caligula (A. Khachaturian). For the role of Hamlet Svebor Secak was granted the award of the Croatian Association of Dramatic Artists for the best male role in the seasons 2003/2004 and 2004/2005.
